I cannot believe it, but this is my last week in Dortmund. Eight weeks has flown by - I've completed three classes, I've conducted research and I've done some important self-reflection. Dortmund has treated me well, and even though there are always aspects that you wish were different, I can whole-heartly say that I am incredibly happy that I came. I've devoted this last week to trying all the restaurants I've been telling myself I need to visit, including this one - Bega Restaurant in downtown Dortmund. This Indian/Pakistan cuisine was a nice, unique flavor that reminded me of home. I ordered a Chicken Sabzi (right, bottom) with a side of Garlic Naan (right, top) to share; we were even given free Mango Lassi at the end of the meal! It was genuinely happy food. I'm spending my last days in lab, at the pool and eating my heart out with all that Dortmund has to offer. On Saturday morning, I head to Brussels to meet up with my brother for a week of traveling! I am incredibly excited, as I have taken the liberty to sign us up for a Waffle Workshop in Brussels. More to come on that next week! |
