Who I am:
My name is Maya Holay, I am a rising junior at Carnegie Mellon University (in Pittsburgh, PA) studying Chemical and Biomedical Engineering. I'm studying and researching abroad this summer in Dortmund, Germany and I'm bringing my love of food with me!
What I'm doing:
Experiencing Germany (and its neighbors) in every and any way possible! I am studying German language, German culture and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing at the Technical Institute of Dortmund, conducting research on the Isolation of Cannabinoids (with Dr. Quentmeier) and swimming my heart out at the (beautiful) Südbad pool in downtown Dortmund. I am quite a foodie, and I've chosen food as a platform to share my experiences with you!
Where I'm staying:
I am staying at WIHOGA, a dorm and building for gastronomy and hotel management. I live with about 100 other international students and commute to TU Dortmund for classes and research.

I'm a part of the International Summer Program:
