Thai Food Market - spring rolls, dumplings (top) and sesame balls (bottom, with wonderful food model Cari) | Now I don't generally put people in my blog posts, but this weekend was quite special. I'm met students, professors and peers from around the world in the last 7 weeks, but there's something about old friends that always makes you feel, well, comfortable. I met up with some water polo teammates and fellow Carnegie Mellon students and we explored Berlin with our informal tour guide from the area (Cari). We went to a Thai Food Market in the middle of a park, and were delighted to sample authentic spring rolls, dumplings, chicken skewers and sesame balls. Not the most traditional food find in Berlin (seems to be a trend for me...), but it did not disappoint! We also sampled the local currywurst (delicious and wholesome as always). Although this blog is primarly to share my food adventures, this weekend was really about enjoying good company and exploring a rich city. | Currywurst before visiting the Reichstag (above) and the water polo crew (below) |
